We have a strong practice in the real estate sector. We advice developers, land owners, housing societies, high net worth investors, major retailers, hotel chains and individuals on land acquisition, sale, leave and licence agreements and construction and development of residential and commercial complexes, malls, hotels, theme parks, IT and industrial parks and Special Economic sZone (SEZ) and township projects. We advise on lease and leave and licence agreements including taking/giving an entire building on rent. We also advise on mall management services including agreements for providing a space on leave and licence. Our Real Estate team also undertakes title investigations and due-diligence exercises.
We assist in drafting, reviewing and negotiating documents for transactions including development agreements, joint development agreements, joint venture agreement, agreements for sale, conveyance deeds, mall management, operation and management, lease and sale transactions, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), term sheets, shareholders / subscription / share purchase agreements, mortgage deeds, re-conveyances, leases, leave and license agreements, business centre agreements, assignment deeds, maintenance agreements, tenancy agreements, powers of attorney, declarations and undertakings, indemnity seeds, and guarantees.
